DETAIL ITINERARY
Day
01 - Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi, representative of Freedom Holidays will welcome and escort
you by a private car and transfer to the hotel, whilst the room keys and
check-in is organized, our representative would hand over the documents
and brief the tour program to you.
Later after breakfast go for full day city tour of Old and New Delhi.
Start sightseeing tour of historic city visiting Old Delhi visiting the
majestic Red Fort, a marvel in red sandstone, Jama Masjid, the largest
mosque in India, both built by emperor Shah Jahan of Taj Mahal fame,
Rajghat - memorial of Mahatma Gandhi & a Rickshaw ride past through the
silver street in Chandni Chowk, the city tour continues covering New
Delhi, visiting Rashtrapati Bhawan, one-time imperial residence of the
British viceroys; the India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the
Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war; the Laxmi Narayan Temple,
built by the Birla's, one of India's leading industrial families;
Humayun's Tomb, lotus shaped Bhai's Temple, Qutub Minar built by
Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty; in the evening you can visit to
see speculative Light and Sound Show at Red Fort. Return to the hotel for
overnight at the hotel.
Day 02 - Delhi - Haridwar (By Surface) 230 Km
Morning after your breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to
Haridwar. The Name Haridwar means Hari (God) + Dwar (Door), entrance or a
gate to God. This is the place where river Ganges lands on to the Plan
from the mountains.
On arrival, transfer to the
hotel. After refreshment, visit the mercury Shiva Lingam Temple, Daksh
Mahadev temple - also known as Shri Daksheshwar temple, attributed to King
Daksha who was brought back to life by Lord Shiva, Gorakhnath Temple,
Bharat Mata Temple is the representation of India in the form of a mother
goddess, Mansa Devi Temple, one of the most popular and most visited
temples of Haridwar. You are free to go on walks to the market or simply
relax on the banks of the River Ganges. You may also visit Chandi Devi
Temple that is located on top of a high hill. Evening visit to Hari Ki
Paudi at Haridwar to attend the Aarti, performed simultaneously at all
temples in Haridwar. Thousands of lit lamps being swayed in circular
motions in a rhythmic manner and crowd of devotees singing Aarti are quite
a spectacle just like the floating lamps and flowers that create a
majestic sight in the river just after "Aarti" Later return to the
hotel for overnight. Overnight at the hotel in Haridwar.
Day 03 - Haridwar - Rishikesh - Mussoorie (By Surface) 100 Km/ 2 Hour
Morning after breakfast check out from the hotel, proceed to Mussoorie,
Enroot visit Rishikesh. excursion to Rishikesh, visit the various temples
and Ashrams: Bharat temple - temple has been named after Lord Ram's second
brother 'Bharat' however the presiding deity of this temple is Lord
Vishnu, Shatrughan Temple - an ancient temple dedicated to Shatrughan, the
youngest brother of Lord Rama, Laxman Jhoola, Rishikund and Raghunath
Temple - legendary tank where Lord Rama took bath is a popular bathing
spot for pilgrims, Swarg Ashram Gita Bhawan Parmath Niketan, Jhoola
Triveni Ghat, Shivanand Ashram Kailash Ashram academy of Meditation. Later
drive to Mussoorie. Check in hotel and overnight stay at Mussoorie.
Day 04 - Mussoorie
After having breakfast, take the sightseeing tour of major tourist
attractions of Mussoorie visiting Kempty falls, George Hill Everest, Gun
hill, Company Garden, Mall road, etc. Evening is free for leisure; enjoy
the surrounding of beautiful hill station and climate. Overnight at the
hotel in Mussoorie
Day 05 - Mussoorie - Jim Corbett National Park (By Surface) 250 Km/ 5
hours
Today morning after breakfast, check out the hotel and drive to Corbett.
On arrival, transfer to the hotel. Jim Corbett National Park, the first
wildlife reserve of India to come under Project Tiger, extending over an
area of more than 500 sq km in the Himalayan foothills. Home to a variety
of flora and fauna, it is famous for its wild population of Leopards.
Once a popular hunting ground of the British, this 201 square mile park
was named in honor of the late Jim Corbett, the legendary
hunter-naturalist turned author and photographer who most of his years in
this area and contributed in setting up the this park. You can again opt
for Elephant Safari inside the park. Evening is free for leisure and
individual activities. Overnight at Jim Corbett
Day 06 - Jim Corbett National Park
Early morning opt for Elephant Safari inside the park. The Main animals
found in the national park include the tiger, elephant, chital, Sambar,
Nilgai, Gharial, King Cobra, Muntjac, wild boar, hedgehog, common musk
shrew, flying fox, Indian Pangolin, and nearly 600 species of birds. Later
return to the hotel for breakfast.
In the afternoon opt for jeep safari to the Bijrani area of Corbett to
find the Elusive Tiger - now the cynosure of the questing eye. Evening is
free for leisure and relaxation to enjoy the various activities at the
hotel. Overnight at Jim Corbett
Day 07 - Jim Corbett National Park - Nainital (By Surface) 70 Km/ 2 Hours
Morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Nainital.
Nainital is also known as "Lake District" of India. The most prominent of
the lakes is Naini Lake ringed by hills. Arrive Nainital, check in hotel.
After your lunch, will go for sightseeing visiting Naina Devi temple.
Located on the northern shores of Naini Lake, the divinity of the temple
is 'Maa Naina Devi' represented by two eyes. In evening visit the Naini
Lake, a beautiful tranquil 2 mile long pear-shaped lake. Enjoy boat a ride
in the Naini Lake. Overnight stay in Nainital.
Day 08 - Nainital
Today morning after breakfast, start your sightseeing visiting Snow View
Point. Climb another 800 feet by rope-way to reach breathtaking Snow View
Point. Early evening visit Nainital High Altitude Zoo which offers a safe
and secure habitat to many high altitude animals. Some of the animals that
can be speckled here are Himalayan Black Bear, Barking Deer, Silver
Pheasants, Snow Leopard, Siberian Tiger, Rose ringed Parakeet, Palm Civet
Cat, Sambhar Deer, Wolf, Hill Fox, Ghoral, Owl, Eagle and many rare
Himalayan birds. After visit proceed to Hanuman Garh. This is a well known
Lord Hanuman's Hindu Temple hovering at the altitude of about 6,401 ft
from sea level and a premeditated location that offers the artistic
scenery of sunset. Enjoy the sunset and drive back to the hotel for
overnight stay.
Day 09 - Nainital - Delhi (By Surface) 310 Km/ 6 hours
Morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed for Delhi.
Evening check in Hotel or Transfer to
the Airport / Railway Station.
